MK-677 fasting glucose creep, anyone else watching their numbers?

Ran MK-677 solo for about 8 weeks, 12.5mg nightly. Sleep was great, IGF-1 jumped from 180 to 290ish, but my fasting glucose started trending up around week 5. Went from a baseline of 92 to 104 by the end. Not huge but its the wrong direction, especially since im not trying to flirt with metabolic issues.
Pulled it, glucose dropped back to 96 within two weeks. My A1c held steady the whole time which was reassuring.
I know the ghrelin mimetic thing can mess with insulin sensitivity, this isnt news to anyone whos read the profile. But its one thing to read about it and another to watch your own glucometer creep up week after week.
Question for anyone else tracking this. Did the glucose bump stick around while you were on it, or did it level off after the first month or so? And if you came off, how long til your numbers settled back to baseline? Im curious if its something your body adapts to or if its just dose and duration dependent.
Mine is staying in the cabinet for now π

- weekendnate: That tracks with what I saw when I ran it. My fasting glucose bumped about 8 to 10 points over the first month and pretty much held there the whole time I was on it, no real adaptation. Dropped back to my baseline within ten days of stopping. One thing I'd flag is that the morning number can look a little worse than it actually is because MK-677 spikes GH overnight and that transiently nudges glucose. Worth checking a fasting midday reading too if you haven't, just to see what the floor actuall
- rachel_ketogen: Yeah the midday check is a good call, i didnt do that and probably should have. 8 to 10 points is exactly my range too, pretty consistent across people it seems. Did yours come back down clean or did it linger a bit? Mine settled to 96 but its been about 3 weeks and im curious if theres a longer tail.
- rachel_ketogen: The midday fasting check is a smart call, im gonna do that next time i mess with it. Yeah my AM numbers were probably the worst case scenario, baseline was already creeping up over the run. Sleep gains were legit for me too but not worth a glucose drift i have to actively babysit after π
