NA Semax Amidate vs regular Semax, what actually changed for me

Ran plain Semax for about 3 weeks last fall, 200 mcg a couple times a day intranasal, felt a clear bump in focus during work blocks but it faded fast and I was re-dosing constantly, which got annoying. Switched to NA Semax Amidate about a month ago, same general ballpark dose once a day in the morning, and the difference is mostly in how long it sticks around. I get a smoother lift through the afternoon instead of a sharp wave that drops off.

Side effect wise, plain Semax gave me some mild nasal irritation, NA Semax seems a little gentler so far but it's also been cold and dry so who knows. Sleep is fine if I dose early, if I push it past like 2pm I can feel wired at bed.

Curious if anyone else here has stacked it with anything, I was thinking about pairing it with something for the anxiety side since Semax family stuff can make me a little on edge by day 3. Not looking for miracles, just smoother days honestly 🧠

  • tiredmira: Your experience with the smoother duration matches what I tracked in my own notes, basically the intranasal peaks hard then crashes, while the amidate version gave me a flatter curve on focus hours. For the on-edge feeling, the one thing that helped me was keeping the morning dose small and not stacking anything stimulating on top, even caffeine sometimes pushed it into jitter territory. I tried L-theanine alongside it and it took the edge down without flattening the focus, but that's just my o
  • patient_codes: Yeah the caffeine thing is real for me too, I had two cups last Tuesday with my morning dose and was buzzing in a way I did not enjoy. L-theanine is a good call though, I actually used it years ago with coffee and forgot how cheap and easy it is, gonna grab some and try it alongside the amidate this week and see if it smooths the day 3 edge. Thanks for the nudge 💯
  • patient_codes: Yeah the flatter curve is what sold me on the amidate, plain Semax felt like riding a wave every 2 hours and I got sick of it 🧠 L-theanine is a good call, I actually have some in the cabinet from when I was messing with pre-workout stacks. Did you dose it at the same time as the amidate or later in the day when the jittery feeling would hit? I'm trying to figure out the timing so I'm not flattening out the focus part.
