Stanford put out a write-up on why doctors are nervous about compounded GLP-1s and the FDA is cracking down. Its worth reading if youre getting your meds from anywhere other than a regular pharmacy, because the sourcing and sterility stuff is real, not just hand-wringing.

What gets me is they talk about the appeal of cheaper access, but the piece also flags the actual risks that dont make it into telehealth ads. I track my own numbers pretty closely and even with legitimate product the GI stuff and the muscle loss are things you have to manage. Throw in a compound where you cant verify what youre injecting and youre stacking unknowns on top of unknowns.

Anyone here been tested on a compounded batch to confirm potency? Im curious what the real-world variance looks like vs the labeled dose.
