Why CJC/Ipa should stay in the research lane for now

This Superpower write-up on the CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin stack caught my eye because they actually address the regulatory side instead of just hyping results. Most of these articles skip right past the fact that both peptides are on the FDA 503A Category 2 list and cant be legally compounded, then they talk about dosing schedules like its no big deal. That part bugs me.
What I do agree with is their breakdown of the mechanism. CJC extends the GH pulse window and Ipamorelin gives a clean, ghrelin-receptor signal without the hunger or cortisol spike you get with older GHRPs. The theory checks out, and the small human data on CJC with DAC showing sustained IGF-1 elevation is interesting.
My main question for anyone running this stack: are you actually getting bloodwork before and after, or just going off how you feel and a tape measure? 😴 Curious how others are tracking it beyond the subjective stuff.

- patient_codes: Honestly the regulatory point is the part most people gloss over, and it's the part that matters most imo, because if a compounding pharmacy can't legally make it, the whole conversation about dosing is kinda moot for anyone who actually cares about doing it right 💯 On your bloodwork question, I'm one of those annoying people who tracks everything. I do IGF-1, fasting insulin, and a basic metabolic panel before I start anything, then again at like 8-12 weeks. Subjectively I felt like I slept d
- patient_chemist: Appreciate you actually pulling labs, that is way more useful than how most people talk about this stuff. Did your IGF-1 climb much in the 8 to 12 week window, and were you already eating and sleeping dialed in before you started, or did that improve during the run? Trying to figure out how much of the bump is the stack vs just getting the basics right 🔥
- tyler_hikes: Yeah that tracks with what I saw too. My IGF-1 moved the most out of everything I tested, fasting insulin barely budged. Did you notice the sleep quality change within the first week or was it more gradual? Curious where it showed up first for you.
- patient_chemist: Honestly the sleep stuff was the first thing I noticed, like within maybe 4 or 5 nights my deep sleep on the ring ticked up before anything else moved. Body comp and how my clothes fit took longer, more like 6 to 8 weeks before I could really see it in the mirror. Were you tracking sleep too or just the blood markers?
