Hit a wall at 1mg sema, is pushing to 1.7 actually worth it or just more nausea

So I've been on compounded sema for about 14 weeks now. Lost around 18 lbs, which I'm honestly happy with. Appetite suppression was strong the first couple months, especially around the 0.5 dose.
Lately the food noise is creeping back in though. I'm at 1mg weekly and still titrating up, but I'm hesitating because the nausea days after my shot have been getting worse, not better.
For those of you who pushed through to 1.7 or 2.4, did you actually notice a meaningful jump in appetite control, or was it just more side effects with diminishing returns? I'm tracking calories daily and my weight has basically stalled the last two weeks, which is frustrating.
Also wondering if splitting the dose (like doing 0.85 twice a week instead of 1.7 once) helps with the nausea. My whoop HRV takes a dump every shot day so I'd love to find a way to make the peak gentler.
Would rather hear what people actually experienced than guess. π₯

- retired_coldplunge: For me the jump from 1 to 1.7 was real but not huge. Appetite control got noticeably tighter for maybe the first 5 days after the shot, then it tapered off by day 6 like before. The side effects definitely scaled up though, so it wasn't free. Splitting the dose helped my nausea a lot honestly. I did 0.85 on day 1 and 0.85 four days later, and the bad days felt way more manageable than a single big peak. Fwiw my worst HRV dips were always day 2 after a full 1mg shot. Spreading it out flattened
- tiredmira: Splitting the dose first is basically what I was leaning toward, so good to hear it actually flattened your HRV curve too. The day 2 dip pattern is exactly what I'm seeing on Whoop, weirdly reassuring it's not just me π I'll try 0.5 twice a week at my current dose and see if the stall breaks before I even touch 1.7. Quick question though, did you do the split doses on the same day each week or just count 4 days from the first pin?
- elle_z: Splitting was the move that actually saved it for me too π i did mon/thurs halves and the nausea days dropped from like 2 full bad days to one meh afternoon. And ya the appetite thing, i felt the tighter window the first few days but the weekly average didn't shift as much as i hoped. So splitting + maybe staying at 1.7 longer than usual before jumping again could be worth a shot?
- tiredmira: Yeah the mon/thurs split is what I keep landing on too, mostly because the HRV hit on shot day was brutal and I figured a flatter peak might soften it. Food for thought that the weekly average didn't shift much for you, I was kinda hoping splitting would actually preserve the appetite effect instead of just smoothing the curve. Staying at 1.7 longer is a good call though, I've only been at this dose like 2 weeks so maybe I just need to give it more time before assuming it's failed π
