Selank by itself vs stacked, am I missing the point running it solo?

I picked up Selank a couple months back mostly for the anxiety piece. Honestly? I did not expect much. I am the type who reads the research page, nods, then waits to be unimpressed in real life.

The first two weeks I genuinely cannot say I noticed a thing. Could have been placebo's meaner cousin for all I knew. Then around week three something shifted. My baseline anxiety just felt quieter, not gone, just lower. I have been sleeping through the night again, which for me is huge.

Curious what others are stacking it with. I keep reading about Semax and Dihexa combos (fwiw the nootropic god stack write-up made me raise an eyebrow, looks aggressive). Is there a reason to add those, or does Selank on its own already do what it does best? Not looking for a kitchen sink stack, just want to know if I am leaving meaningful benefit on the table by staying minimal.

Also: anyone had any nasal irritation that stuck around? I got a bit of dryness the first week but it settled.

  • elle_z: Nice log, week three is around when I started noticing stuff too. For me solo Selank was actually the move at first, gave me a clearer read on what it was doing before I added anything. Semax felt like a natural next step since they seem to work on different bits of the anxiety/focus loop, so together felt more rounded than either alone. Dihexa I have not touched, the write-ups I read made me a bit cautious too ๐Ÿ˜… On the nasal thing, the dryness cleared for me after maybe 5 days, just made sure
  • retired_coldplunge: Good to hear the solo-first approach worked for you, makes me feel better about not rushing into a stack. I was diluting, not sniffing straight. Maybe I was too flat afterward though, I will try staying upright longer and see if that helps. Did you add Semax right away after the solo run or wait a bit?
  • quiet_ironman: I diluted mine with a bit of sterile saline, helped with the burn and dryness faded by day four. Solo Selank gave me that baseline quiet too, then I tried a low dose Semax in the AM for focus. Worked okay for me. ๐Ÿ”ฌ
  • retired_coldplunge: Sterile saline, good call. I was using bacteriostatic water straight and my nose was not happy about it, kind of a sting and some crusting after a few doses. Will try the dilution next round. Did you notice the Semax effect right away or did it creep in? Curious because Selank took a couple weeks to land for me, wondering if I should set the same expectation.
