Methylene blue at low dose for afternoon focus, anyone using it under a Semax base?

I've been reading about methylene blue for a while now, mostly the mitochondrial angle (the electron transport chain piece is what caught my eye, fwiw). The more I look at it, the more it seems like a fit for that mid-afternoon crash I get on long coaching days. My brain is fine in the morning, but by 2 or 3pm I am foggy.
So here's what I'm wondering for those who've tried it. The dosing range looks pretty wide (0.5 to 2 mg/kg), and I keep seeing people say "low and slow" matters a lot because at higher amounts you start turning into a smurf, plus the serotonin risk makes me cautious.
If anyone is running methylene blue alongside a nootropic peptide base (I'm on Semax most days), how did you space it out? And did the focus feel like a clean lift or more of a jittery push? Trying to figure out if this is worth a short trial or if I'm overthinking the timing.

- elle_z: 5 mg/kg) in the early afternoon while taking Semax first thing in the morning. I usually wait about four hours between them so the Semax peak isn’t overlapping. For me the focus felt like a gentle lift – not a jittery push, just a bit clearer headspace when that 2‑3 pm fog usually hits. I did notice a temporary blue tint on my tongue, which faded after a couple of hours. No sleep issues or serotonin‑type symptoms at that dose, but I kept it low and watched how I felt. Have you tried spacing it
- weekendnate: That's a pretty similar split to what I'd default to. I usually keep methylene blue around 1 mg/kg and pin the Semax to a true morning slot, then I won't touch anything else cognitive until early afternoon minimum. For me the spacing matters more than the actual dose, stacking them too tight gives me a flat, kinda overstimulated feeling instead of that clearer headspace you're describing.
- weekendnate: I started around 0.5 mg/kg and titrated up to about 1 mg/kg over a couple weeks, same 4 hour gap after the Semax. The tongue thing is real, my girlfriend made fun of me for a solid day. No sleep disruption for me either, though I track HRV and didn't see a noticeable bump on focus days vs off days.
