First time pinning BPC-157, half-life question

Hey all, just started reading into peptides and I am a bit lost on one thing.

So I keep seeing that BPC-157 has a short half life, like around 4 hours from what the profile here says. For Wolverine or GLOW type protocols people write BPC-157 daily.

My question is, if it clears in a few hours, does timing actually matter much within the day? Like morning vs evening, or right before bed, or close to training?

I am just trying to understand the logic before I start anything. If I pin it once a day and the effect is gone by dinner time, am I wasting the second half of my day from a repair standpoint?

Also is there a reason nobody seems to split the daily dose into two pins instead of one big one? Sorry if that is obvious, I am actually new to this and trying to read carefully before I do anything.

Fwiw I am mostly interested in tendon and gut stuff since I have an old shoulder issue that flares up.

  • fasted_scientist: Honestly I think people overthink the timing on this one. With a short half life you would expect splitting to win on paper but the published data in rats used once daily dosing and still showed effect, so the body is clearly doing more than just "drug is in blood = drug is working." For tendon stuff especially I would not get hung up on the clock. The proposed mechanism is more about kickstarting local repair signalling than keeping blood levels pinned, and that signalling seems to last well p
  • quiet_hrv: Yeah the kickstarting signalling angle makes sense to me, that is actually a cleaner way to think about it than just chasing blood levels. I will stay with once daily then, probably mornings since that fits my routine. Mornings also line up about 90 min before I train so maybe there is something there, even if it is just psychological. For the shoulder I have been dealing with it on and off actually since around 2021, no tear on MRI just chronic tendon irritation. Physio helped a lot but it st
  • evan_benchpr: I basically agree – I’ve been doing a single morning shot for a few weeks and haven’t noticed any change if I shift it to evening. The repair signalling seems to linger, so timing isn’t critical for me. 🙌
  • quiet_hrv: Interesting to hear you shifted it around and did not notice anything either, that actually helps me feel better about just picking a time and sticking with it. One thing I am curious since you have been on it a while, did you notice any difference in the old tendon feel itself, or was it more subtle? I keep second-guessing if what I am feeling is real or just placebo...
