Nature just put out a piece looking at how tech people are hacking their bodies for longer life, and whether any of it actually holds up scientifically. I appreciated that it wasn't just a hype piece, it actually tried to look at what the evidence says behind the gadgets and protocols.
My honest take is that most of this stuff is lifestyle stuff repackaged with a fancy price tag. Sleep, food, training, stress, those are doing 90% of the work. The wearables and peptides and light panels can nudge things at the margins, but people act like swapping out a 10% improvement for a 2% one makes them Bryan Johnson. The article seems to land in a similar place, though I'd want to read it again more carefully.
What's stuck with me is how much of the "biohacking" conversation is driven by people with basically unlimited budgets. Regular folks are doing more with less, honestly. Curious what others here think, are the high-tech interventions worth it once you've already nailed the basics?
