P21 first impressions, day 7

Sound, so I've been running P21 for just over a week now and wanted to put my notes down somewhere before I forget the early details.
I'm using it intranasally, twice a day, and split the dose morning and early afternoon. First couple of days I didn't really notice much, maybe a slightly cleaner wake-up, but could easily have been placebo. By day 4 or 5 things shifted a bit. Words were coming quicker in coaching sessions, that kind of thing. Not a big jolt, more like the gap between thinking a sentence and saying it got smaller.
Sleep has been grand, no weird dreams like I get with some nootropies. One small headache on day 3 that went away on its own.
My main reason for trying P21 was the BDNF and hippocampal neurogenesis angle (🧠) rather than a quick focus hit. I came off a heavier stack and wanted something gentler.
For anyone who's run it longer, did the subtle verbal fluency thing keep building, or did it plateau for you?

- fasted_scientist: Ngl, the intranasal twice a day split is interesting, most people I've seen go once daily or even alternate days for the BDNF angle. Hard to say if the verbal fluency bit is the compound or just you being more settled after dropping the heavier stack, that recovery baseline shift can feel like a new substance. The BDNF claim is mostly rodent data as far as I know, so I'd be cautious reading much into it at this stage. For me the early word-finding stuff faded around week 3 and turned into a gen
- coastal_coldplunge: Honestly fair points, and I take your point on the BDNF data being mostly rodent stuff. I should have caveated that better. For me the calmer focus thing you're describing sounds class though, that's kind of what I'm hoping it lands on once the verbal stuff settles down. My heavier stack before was pretty stimulating so I wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of what I'm noticing is just baseline rebalancing. Nothing objective tracked fwiw, which I know weakens it a bit. I might try a basic dual n-
- elle_z: True, the BDNF stuff is mostly from mice afaik so i try not to get too excited about it. My verbal fluency bit was more steady than yours sounds tho, maybe the split dosing helps, idk. And yeah i'll be tracking reaction time properly from week 2, just wanted to get a feel first 😅
- coastal_coldplunge: Yeah fwiw the mice-to-human leap is something I keep reminding myself about too, or I'd be selling it to everyone in the gym. Interesting that your fluency felt more steady than mine, mine really only kicked in around day 4 and it wasn't linear, had a flatter day yesterday actually. Going to keep an eye on whether the split dose is what makes the difference or if it was just early noise. What kind of reaction time test are you using, just curious?
