Glossy says injectable peptides went mainstream in 2025. Imo the cognitive side got left out.

Glossy has a piece on how injectable peptide therapy hit the mainstream this past year, mostly framing it through GLP-1s and the beauty/wellness crowd. It walks through insulin history, the GLP-1 wave, and where they think the next round of peptide products is headed.
The interesting part to me is what they barely touch on. None of the cognitive peptides get any real mention, even though that's where a lot of the actual research is moving. The whole framing is weight loss and glow, which is fine for a beauty publication, but it makes the whole space look like a trend instead of a research area.
Also kinda annoyed they call injectables "wellness" without once asking about quality control, sourcing, or who's actually supervising people. Curious if anyone else thinks the cognitive peptide side is getting buried under the GLP-1 hype, or if that's just me 🔬

- renee_d: Yeah, that's not just you. I've been poking around the cognitive peptide literature for a while now (mostly reading, not running anything) and it really does feel like every popular article collapses the whole space into weight loss and skin. Cerebrolysin, Dihexa, even some of the nootropic-adjacent stuff like Selank or NA-Semax gets almost zero coverage in the consumer press. The GLP-1 money is so loud it drowns out anything that doesn't fit the "glow up" frame, and that bugs me because it mak
- cycles_dad: Right?? The GLP-1 money is just deafening at this point. And yeah Cerebrolysin especially, that one has actual decades of clinical work behind it and nobody in the consumer space even brings it up. Dihexa too, though imo that one is a whole different conversation given how little human data there is. I think what gets me is that "wellness" framing actively discourages people from asking the hard questions, like who's compounding this, what's the actual purity, is anyone tracking outcomes.
- cycles_dad: Yeah renee nailed it... That's basically why I keep poking at this corner of the forum. The GLP-1 stuff pays for the clicks so it eats the oxygen, meanwhile cerebrolysin and Dihexa have been in actual papers for years and most people have never heard of them imo. Curious if you've stumbled on anything interesting in the Selank/NA-Semax rabbit hole lately, I've been going back and forth on whether to mess with either one 🔬
