Most of the conversation around peptides lately has been about US compounding pharmacies and FDA letters, but a huge share of the raw material side of this market is sitting in Chinese CDMOs.
What caught my eye is whether stricter oversight in China actually filters down to better quality control on the research peptide side, or if it just pushes more gray-market production further underground. I've seen enough variability in third-party lab reports to be skeptical that a regulator in Beijing solves anything for a guy ordering from a Telegram channel, but I'd love to be wrong about that.
Anyone tracking how this intersects with the FDA's compounding crackdown? Feels like the two regimes might end up working at cross purposes.
