Running CJC/Ipa + IGF-1 LR3 on training days, hypoglycemia worry is real

So i have been running a pretty standard growth stack for a while now, CJC and ipa at night on a 5 on 2 off schedule, and i recently added IGF-1 LR3 on training days only, post workout, somewhere around 30 to 40 mcg. The issue i keep running into is blood sugar crashing mid afternoon on leg day especially, like shaky hands, brain fog, the whole deal. I know hypoglycemia is listed as a side effect for IGF-1 LR3 and i get why now, it is driving glucose into the muscle hard after a heavy session.

For what it is worth i have tried eating more carbs around the pin and it helps but does not fully stop it. Curious if anyone has found a sweet spot for timing the pin further from the workout, or if splitting the dose smaller but still post workout works better for anyone. Also wondering if running follistatin in the mix changes anything since it is supposedly neutral on glucose from what i have read.

Bloods looked clean before i added the IGF, fasting glucose was solid, so i am not chasing a problem that was already there. Just want to keep this manageable before i bump the dose at all. Anyone running something similar long term?

IGF-1 LR3 has a pretty long activity window, so pinning right after legs is going to hit hardest when you are already carb depleted. I moved mine to early morning fasted on an empty stomach and the crashes basically went away. Blood sugar tends to stay higher overnight, so the drop is less noticeable. Splitting smaller doses never really did much for me either, same total just spread out still hits glucose the same way by the end of the da
  • nomad_brandon: The fasted morning angle makes sense actually, the overnight blood sugar thing is a my worry was always that you lose some of the muscle targeting upside running it that way but if the crash is brutal enough it kind of becomes a non-issue for me. Quick question though, are you still getting decent gains running it that way or do you feel like the muscle uptake suffered compared to when you ran it closer to training? That trade-off is really what has kept me from experimenting more aggressively
  • aisha347: Interesting, i had not considered early morning fasted for the pin, i was assuming post workout was the standard for a reason. But what you say about blood sugar running higher overnight makes sense to me, no? Do you feel it cuts into the training effect at all when you time it that far from the session, or has it been comparable for you?
  • nomad_brandon: Yeah honestly i was skeptical at first too because everyone preaches post workout pinning for IGF, but moving it to fasted morning kept my blood sugar way more stable through the day. For what it is worth the training effect feels comparable for me, pumps and recovery both still solid, but i have not run a proper side by side so i cannot say for sure it is the same.
