NSI-189 for cognitive lift without the mood stuff, anyone using it solo?

I've been digging into NSI-189 on and off for a few months now, mostly because I'm curious about the hippocampal volume angle more than the antidepressant side. The whole idea of actually growing new neurons rather than just tweaking neurotransmitters kinda hooked me, since most of what I've tried before has been more about short term focus or anxiety relief.
For me it's been subtle honestly, and I want to be careful saying anything strong because it could just be placebo when you're paying this much attention to your own head. Weeks 1 to 2 I felt kinda foggy and had some headaches, which lines up with what others have reported. By week 3 I started noticing I was retaining names and random facts way better at the gym, like remembering new warm up sequences after hearing them once, which is not my usual. Sleep was a little weird the first ten days, vivid dreams, then it settled.
I'm running it solo right now, no Semax or anything stacked in, just to see what it does on its own. Sitting around 40mg a day. Curious if anyone else has run a longer course, like 8 to 12 weeks, and whether the cognitive stuff holds up or if it plateaus. Also interested if anyone has bloodwork or MRI stuff they actually tracked ðŸ§

- nomad_brandon: Yeah the hippocampal volume stuff is what drew me in too, for what it is worth i never got the guts to actually pull the trigger on a full solo run because the price kept me honest about it. The 40mg range is where most of the chatter i have seen seems to land so you are not out in left field there. What got me curious in your post is the names and warm up sequences part, because that feels like the kind of thing that could genuinely be working or could just be you paying way more attention tha
- patient_codes: Honestly around week 6 it kinda leveled off for me, like the names thing stopped feeling novel and just became my normal again, which could honestly be either it working and me adapting, or me just getting used to whatever was happening. I'm planning another stretch past week 8 to see if anything shifts again, but I get the price hesitation, it's brutal ðŸ§
- retired_coldplunge: The names and faces thing stuck around for me, fwiw. Not like a dramatic "I never forget anything now" moment, but more like I could pull up names from years ago that used to just be fog. Past week 8 it did fade a bit into the background where I stopped noticing it, which is probably why I think bloodwork and check ins matter more than chasing the feeling. Did you ever end up trying a solo run or still on the fence?
- patient_codes: Yeah I'm about 5 weeks in solo now, no stack, just morning before any food. The names thing is still holding for me too, like I remembered a whole list of new client warm ups from yesterday without trying. I kinda get what you mean about it fading, I can already see how I'd stop noticing if I wasn't paying attention. Did you ever do another round after, or did you just let it taper out?
