Adamax vs Semax, anyone tried both back to back?

Ok so i've been on plain Semax for a few weeks now, intranasal, mostly mornings before writing work. The focus lift is real for me, like my brain just stops wandering mid-paragraph which is rare 😅

But i keep reading about Adamax being this next gen Semax analog that's supposed to be more potent and longer lasting. The BDNF angle is what gets me, since i'm already deep into the longevity stuff and anything that nudges neurotrophic factors gets my attention.

For anyone who's actually tried both, how does Adamax compare in practice? Does the focus feel sharper or just last longer? And did the "extended vs Semax" half-life translate to you, like can you actually dose once a day instead of two sprays every few hours?

Also a little nervous about the overstimulation thing tbh, Semax already makes me a bit wired if i redose too late. Is Adamax more forgiving or worse on that front? Trying to figure out if it's worth a trial run or if i should just stick with what i know. Appreciate any firsthand logs âš¡

  • rowan_k: Haven't done a back to back trial myself, but I did run plain Semax for about 6 weeks before swapping to Adamax for a stretch, and the difference for me was mostly duration, not intensity. The focus on Adamax felt similar in quality, just smoother through the day instead of that on-off thing where Semax kind of drops off and you reach for another spray. Once a day worked for me on Adamax, no need to redose. The overstimulation piece I actually found the opposite, it was gentler than Semax for s
  • elle_z: Oh nice this is super helpful, the smoother all-day thing vs the on-off peaks tracks with what i'd want. I'm guessing part of the gentler feel is just not redosing constantly and riding that mini crash each time. Did you notice any difference in sleep though? That's where Semax gets me if i take it past like 2pm.
  • retired_coldplunge: That's a really helpful comparison, The "smoother through the day" framing makes sense to me, and I can see how chasing sprays with Semax could feel like more of a spike/come down thing vs a steady state. Fwiw, did you notice any difference on the mood side between the two? I've seen people say Adamax felt flatter emotionally even when the focus was solid, curious if that matched what you saw or not.
  • elle_z: Honestly yeah i kinda caught that too, not flat exactly but more task mode? Like with Semax i still feel a bit of that gentle mood lift, almost a calm alertness thing, but Adamax was more like... Ok lets get stuff done, now. Not unpleasant just different. The redosing thing you mentioned is spot on btw, the smoother curve was the part that sold me tbh. Were you finding that emotional flatness got better with time on Adamax or did it stay pretty consistent for you?
