Another metabolic breakthrough? I am skeptical.

I just came across this piece about Proteimax and their new peptide for metabolic health. It claims they have a breakthrough discovery that could change how we handle metabolic issues?

Honestly, I am feeling a bit exhausted by these "breakthrough" headlines. fwiw, I have seen so many of these claims that end up being overhyped or just a slight variation of something we already know. It feels like every biotech company is trying to find the next Ozempic, but they leave out the actual data on long term side effects.

In my own experience, the things that actually work for me are usually the boring, consistent habits, not some magic molecule from a press release. I worry that these narratives push people to try things before the safety profile is actually clear. Do you think we are just seeing a trend of marketing masquerading as science, or is there actually something new happening here? 😅
