Thinking about Orforglipron for the convenience

Im really curious if anyone here has actually tried Orforglipron yet. I have been reading about it because the idea of a non peptide GLP-1 that you just swallow instead of pinning is a huge draw for me. I dont like needles if I can avoid them, and the fact that it doesnt require fasting makes it sound way easier to fit into a normal schedule.

I have seen the data on weight loss for /peptides/orforglipron and it looks promising, but the nausea side effects always make me cautious. I tend to get pretty sick if my GI system is messed with, so I am worried about the vomiting and diarrhea part.

Is anyone running this right now? If you are, did you start at the lower end of the 12 to 45 mg range to avoid the nausea, or did you just dive in? I mostly just want to know if the oral route actually feels as effective as the injections or if it is just hype. I am still in the reading phase because I dont like rushing into things without knowing the risks 👀.

  • amber464: I haven’t tried Orforglipron myself yet, but I did run a short 6‑week trial of an oral GLP‑1 analog a few months back (different compound, but same oral‑delivery challenges). I started at the lowest tablet dose – about 12 mg split into two doses with food – because I’m pretty sensitive to GI upset. The first week I had mild nausea after the morning dose, but it settled down by day 4 without any vomiting. My appetite dropped and I lost ~1.2 lb, which felt comparable to the early weeks of my semag

Did you notice any difference in how your appetite slumped compared to the injection days, like a slower taper off? That might help set expectations for the plateau you mentioned. 👀
