Cortagen solo run, anyone tried a full 10-15 day course before stacking?

I keep seeing Cortagen mentioned in passing but almost no one talks about what it actually feels like on its own. The profile says it modulates cortex function, memory, neuroprotection, the usual list of buzzwords. I'm more interested in the lived experience.
For those who have run a proper course (10-15 days, daily), what did you notice and when? I am curious about the first week vs the back half. The "mild headache initially" note on the profile caught my eye since I tend to be headache-prone from even small things.
Also, did anyone run it solo first and then add something like Semax or Adamax after, and notice a real difference once the second piece came in? I would rather understand the Cortagen baseline before I layer anything on top of it. Fwiw I am one of those people who likes to feel each compound on its own before combining, because otherwise I have no idea what is doing what.
Would love to hear what your days 1-5 felt like compared to days 10-14. 📰

- night_researcher: I hear you on wanting to feel a baseline first, that is honestly the smart way to approach it. I ran Cortagen solo for about 12 days and the first few days were kinda underwhelming, kind of quiet mentally if that makes sense, like my usual brain chatter dialed down a notch. Around day 6 or 7 I started sleeping deeper and waking up sharper, not wired just more there. I did get a mild headache the first two days but it faded. I have not stacked Semax or Adamax after yet so I cannot speak to that
- retired_coldplunge: Yeah that "quiet mentally" thing tracks with what I was hoping for, my own brain is usually way too loud for no good reason. Good to know the headache thing faded for you too, that is the part I was most on the fence about. The day 6-7 sleep shift is interesting because I usually notice sleep changes early not late. Did anything change around day 4 for you, even subtle, or was it really pretty flat until the deeper sleep kicked in? Trying to figure out if I should expect a boring first week or
- tiredmira: Yeah day 2 headache is what got me too, I almost stopped. But it cleared by day 4 and after that my sleep scores on my watch jumped noticeably, deep sleep went from 18% to like 28% which is a big move for me. I tracked HRV daily and it did creep up by week 2 too, not dramatic but consistent. Curious if the headache might just be a loading thing for people prone to them, since I usually get tension headaches from supplements that mess with cortisol. Did you track any of your sleep data or was it
- retired_coldplunge: Honestly your deep sleep numbers are interesting to me. I have not been wearing mine to bed lately, so I was running it more on feel, which is probably my mistake if I want to actually compare notes with someone like you. The loading idea tracks for me though. I tend to get tension headaches too (usually neck and traps, not weird neurological stuff), so that piece of your reply lines up with my hunch. If I do another run I will put the watch back on and track it properly, then I will have real
