BBC piece on 2026 brain boosters and the JOMO shift, worth a read for the framing alone

The BBC ran a piece about where wellness culture is heading next year, and brain boosters are a big part of it. They frame it around JOMO and recovery, not just chasing more output, which honestly is a refreshing angle for a mainstream outlet. Fwiw I appreciate that they at least mention customers wanting a "boost" without immediately selling them one.

My take is that the trend toward nootropics in regular consumer outlets is a double edged sword. It means more people are curious, which is good, but it also means more hype and less patience for slow protocols. A lot of what gets called brain boosting in those articles is just caffeine with a fancy hat on, and that muddies the water for people running actual research compounds.

Curious if anyone else here thinks the mainstream attention helps or hurts the more serious side of this space 📰
