Kisspeptin-10 for a first timer, what am i actually looking at

Ok so i keep seeing kisspeptin come up in the hormone threads and i finally clicked through the profile page but half of it is still greek to me. From what i gathered it kicks off GnRH which then tells the pituitary to send LH and FSH, and that is supposed to bump testosterone more naturally than just taking testosterone itself... Is that the right read?
Not gonna lie the half life numbers look wild, like 4 to 6 minutes IV vs a few hours subq, which makes me wonder how anyone actually feels anything from a single shot. Do people dose it daily or is this more of a one off thing... And is the libido thing real or just a theory on paper.
I am 42, labs came back with meh free T last time, and i want to understand the mechanism before i even think about asking my doc about it. Anyone walked through a first cycle here or have plain english thoughts on what to expect week to week...

- owen196: Mechanism read is basically right. Kisspeptin acts on its receptor, kicks GnRH, which drives the pituitary to pulse LH and FSH. Your body still controls the feedback though, which is why people describe it as more "physiological" than just pinning test. Half life is short either way, subq just stretches it a bit. - tired_gains: Yeah that matches what i was picking up. The "physiological" angle is what caught my attention honestly, less of the override feel i assume straight test gives you. Twice a week makes more sense than daily given that half life window, i was picturing something like a mini pulse mimicking what the brain already does. Mouse data being stronger than human data is a bit of a yellow flag though, not gonna lie. Did you actually try it yourself or just know the literature...
