Saw this on MPR, FDA is weighing whether to loosen the rules on what can go into supplements, and apparently peptide makers are pushing to get newer stuff like certain peptides and probiotics included. The article frames it as a "what's in your supplements could change" situation, which honestly feels like the polite version of what is really happening.

My take, if peptides end up in the same regulatory bucket as multivitamins, the bar for safety data basically disappears. Right now peptides sit in a weird gray zone where at least doctors and compounding pharmacies have to be in the loop. Loosening that sounds like a headache waiting to happen for anyone who actually cares about what they are putting in their body.

Genuinely curious how others here feel about this, does broader access sound like a win to you, or does it feel like the thing that makes harm reduction way harder?
