Injection site lump after 4 weeks of BPC-157, normal?

Quick question for anyone who's run BPC-157 subq for a stretch. I started a 4-week run about a month back, doing 250 mcg twice a day into my lower belly, rotating sides like I'm supposed to.

Around week 3 I noticed a small, kinda firm lump under the skin at one of my older injection sites. Not red, not warm, not painful, just sitting there like a little pea. It's been about 10 days now and it's still there, hasn't really changed.

Has anyone else had this stick around this long? From what I understand it's usually just a lipohypertrophy thing from not rotating enough, or maybe a small sterile abscess, but I wanted to ask before I shrugged it off. I did swap to my outer thigh yesterday and that one felt totally normal going in.

No fever, no drainage, no other weirdness. Just this stubborn little bump that won't go away. Should I be giving it more time or is this the kind of thing I should get looked at sooner rather than later?

  • formererin: Honestly that sounds like lipohypertrophy to me... It's basically a little pocket of fat that builds up when you keep hitting the same area, even with rotation. I've had similar pea-sized bumps from subq stuff before, took a solid 3-4 weeks to soften up after I stopped injecting there. The fact that it's not red, warm, or draining is a good indicator it's not infected, fwiw. The thigh felt normal because that tissue isn't been poked at repeatedly. That said, if it changes at all, like gets bigg
  • experiment_freya: Yeah that lines up with what I was hoping, basically just the fat getting grumpy from repeated trauma in one spot. Three to four weeks to soften up is annoying but not surprising given how long it took to build up. I'll leave that area alone completely and see if it starts shrinking on its own. Good call on the watch-for-changes part, that's exactly the threshold I was trying to set in my own head. If it gets red or warm or starts growing instead of just sitting there being a stubborn little pe
  • fasted_scientist: Yeah that tracks with what i got told when i had the same thing ages ago. Mine took a good month or so to fully flatten out, and the key bit for me was leaving that exact spot alone completely for a few weeks (like no pinning anywhere near it). The "not red not warm not hot" stuff lines up with it just being a fatty build up rather than anything dodgy. Cheers for posting the warning signs though, worth flagging for anyone reading.
