CJC/Ipa at night vs morning on an empty stomach, timing trial impressions

I have been messing with timing for a while now and wanted to share what I noticed, for what it is worth. Protocol is CJC-1295 no DAC around 100 mcg and ipamorelin around 200 mcg, no MK-677 in the mix right now, just the two peptides.

I ran two weeks dosing right before bed on an empty stomach, then two weeks dosing first thing in the morning same way, fasted with no food for at least 90 minutes after. Same dose, same injection spots, nothing else changed in my training or sleep window.

For me the night dose won on two things. First, sleep depth felt noticeably better, fewer wakeups and I wake up less groggy. Second, my morning resting heart rate trended about 3 to 4 bpm lower on average across the two weeks (I track HRV and RHR daily so the data was clean).

Morning dosing gave me a mild tingly rush about 30 minutes in and honestly felt more "active", but my sleep that night was flatter and my next-day recovery score in Whoop dipped.

Curious if anyone else has tracked this formally, or if the consensus is just that bedtime on empty stomach is the move. I know a lot of people swear by pre-workout morning dosing too.

  • nomad_weekend: Interesting that you tracked it that cleanly, most people I know just wing it and go by feel. The RHR drop is the kind of thing I pay attention to too, anecdotally when I dose late I notice the same kind of quieter sleep, fewer tosses. The morning tingly thing bugs me a little, because for me that little rush usually means I am about to feel flatter later, which matches what you saw on your Whoop score. Empty stomach morning with no food for 90 minutes is also rough on me, I get kind of headach
  • weekend_sauna: Yeah I get what you mean about the tingly thing, for me it has been a mixed signal, sometimes it feels productive and sometimes I crash by 3pm... Which is annoying. I have tried the early afternoon dose, like around 2pm on an empty stomach, and honestly it was the worst of both worlds for me. Sleep was meh and I felt kind of blah in the evening too. But that was only a week so maybe I didn't give it enough time, no?
  • restlessdiego: Honestly a week is probably too short to really tell, the sleep signal usually needs at least 10 days to settle in (at least that is what I saw when I compared my two weeks back to back). The 3pm crash sounds like it could be a cortisol or blood sugar thing rather than the peptides themselves if you ask me, worth checking your afternoon food intake around that window. Fwiw I never tried the 2pm slot so I cannot speak to it directly, just curious if your tingly rush was as strong as the morning d
  • restlessdiego: Yeah the morning tingly thing is exactly what tipped me off, that little flush followed by a flatter afternoon is not a trade I want. I have not tried the split dose route honestly, mostly because adding a second pin in the day is a hassle and I am not sure the math works out the same on appetite. My Ipamorelin is the 200 mcg per pin vial so I would need to either split the vial across two shots or buy a separate lower dose, both kind of annoying. Curious though, when you say split dose do you m
