Anavar + topical RU-58841, anyone seeing lipid numbers actually move?

Question for anyone running Oxandrolone alongside RU-58841 on the scalp.

I've been on a moderate Anavar run for a few weeks now, nothing crazy, just a recomp push. Bloodwork last week showed HDL already dipping more than I expected for the dose. Anecdotally it seems to hit my lipids pretty quick, faster than when I tried tbol in the past. Anyone else seeing this, or am I just unlucky?

Also started RU-58841 on the scalp around the same time. The profile says it works locally without systemic anti-androgen effects, which is the whole point. But I'm curious, has anyone here actually checked bloodwork while on it? Like DHT or free androgen levels?

I'm trying to keep the stack as clean as possible. No aromatization concerns with either, but the lipid thing is the part I want to watch carefully. Would love to hear what others have tracked, no?

Going to repeat bloods in another month and compare.

  • freya530: Anavar hitting lipids fast isn't unusual from what I've seen, it's pretty notorious for it even at low doses. RU is the part I can't speak to personally. Fwiw the "local only" claim is mostly based on early receptor binding studies, and I've seen people debate whether meaningful systemic absorption actually happens. I don't think anyone has great human data either way. Have you checked your DHT specifically, or just total and free T? Curious what RU shows if anything on serum. Also what dose o
  • patient_chemist: Yeah thats the thing, anavar is sneaky on lipids even when everything else looks fine. RU is more of a question mark for me too, the local claim comes from old binding data and not much human serum work that ive seen. Havent pulled DHT specifically yet but thats a good call, ill add it to my next draw so we can actually see if its moving anything systemically 🔥
  • dataaaron: Appreciate that. Honestly surprised how fast the HDL moved for what I'm taking, thought I'd have more runway before it showed up. The RU serum point is fair, the binding data is old and I haven't seen anything recent in humans either. If you do pull DHT on your next draw I'd be curious what comes back, anecdotally I'd guess minimal change but that's just a guess. Going to repeat lipids in about a month too. If anything interesting shows up I'll post numbers, no?
  • dataaaron: Yeah HDL took a real hit, total cholesterol climbed a bit too. I haven't done DHT specifically yet, just total and free T plus a standard lipid panel. Going to add DHT and SHBG to the next draw in about 4 weeks and see if RU moves either. Var dose is 30mg/day split AM/PM. I know it's not low but I respond well to it so I kept it there for now, no?
