CagriSema vs plain sema, anyone actually compare the two?

Been on plain semaglutide for a while now and the appetite suppression is solid but I keep reading about CagriSema and the dual amylin/GLP-1 angle is kinda intriguing to me imo. From the profile it looks like the combo targets appetite from two different pathways which sounds like it could push weight loss further without necessarily cranking the dose higher. My main issue with plain sema has been hitting a plateau around month 4 where the scale just stops moving even though I'm still eating in a deficit and my training volume is up.

Curious if anyone here has run both back to back and noticed a meaningful difference, especially once you hit that wall. Also wondering how the side effect profile compares, since cagrilintide adding nausea on top of what sema already does sounds rough. Not looking to switch yet, just trying to figure out if the combo is actually worth the trade off or if it's mostly hype from the trial numbers. Would love to hear from anyone who's done the comparison themselves.

  • recovery_renee: Honestly the plateau thing is real. Sema alone got me to a point and then just stalled, even with food logs dialed in and steps way up. What actually unblocked it for me was adding more aggressive resistance training and dropping a bit more on the carb side, not necessarily chasing a stronger GLP. So before stacking more compounds I'd wanna make sure the deficit math actually holds at week 16+, not just week 8. On cagrisema, the amylin piece is genuinely interesting and the data is strong, but
  • nightmarcus: Yeah food log math at week 16+ is probably the leak, you nailed it. I checked and my calories crept up around 1800 to maybe 2100 between months 3 and 4 so the "deficit" wasn't really a deficit anymore, classic move on my part. Gonna tighten that back down for a few weeks before I even think about adding anything. The additive nausea thing is what scares me most about cagrisema, sema alone already has me green once a week and doubling down sounds miserable.
