GHK-Cu for tendon stuff, anyone actually noticed anything or is it mostly skin hype?

Honestly ive been looking into GHK-Cu for a while now and im struggling to find much beyond the cosmetic angle. Like every post i come across is people raving about skin and hair and thats brilliant for them but im dealing with a nagging Achilles thing that wont fully clear up and im wondering if the copper peptide route is worth exploring for actual connective tissue repair.

I know the profile mentions systemic regenerative effects but most of what ive seen people share anecdotally is pretty vague, like "felt better overall" which could literally be anything. Im already doing oral BPC-157 at 500mcg twice a day which seems to help a bit with general soreness but the Achilles is stubborn. Reckon GHK-Cu on top of that is overkill or is there a genuine case for it?

Also seen some people mention injection site reactions with copper being pretty harsh, like welts and itching. Not keen on trading a sore tendon for angry skin every injection day. Anyone here run it specifically for tendons or ligaments and felt something concrete? Or is this one of those things where the theory looks good on paper but the real world results are a bit meh. Would love to hear actual experiences before i go down another rabbit hole.

  • miles_w: Ran ghk-cu for a similar achilles thing last year tbh and the honest answer is... Underwhelming for the tendon itself. Skin definitely got nicer, no question there, but the achilles didnt really change much from what i could tell. Could just be me tho, tendons are slow and stubborn regardless of what you throw at them. The injection site reactions are real tho, thats not exaggerated. Got welts and itching pretty much every time, even with dilute stuff. Ended up mixing it subq really slowly and
  • kenji_runs: Cheers for the honest rundown, thats kinda what i was worried about. The skin benefits seem well documented but if the tendon stuff is marginal then i reckon im better off not dealing with welts and itching on top of it. Did you stick with it for a decent stretch before calling it, or was it more like a few weeks and you'd had enough of the site reactions?
  • fasted_scientist: Yeah miles_w, skin’s the obvious win but I’ve not seen solid data on tendon repair with GHK‑Cu. Did you notice any change in pain scores or just subjective feel? Curious if anyone’s tracked it with ultrasound or similar.
  • kenji_runs: Cheers for the reply. Honestly mostly subjective feel for me, nothing systematic. The general soreness stuff with BPC i noticed within maybe 10 days but the Achilles itself i couldnt put a number on. Havent done ultrasound or anything objective, just kinda poking at it and seeing if it feels less angry. Reckon thats the problem with most of these anecdotal reports though, noones actually measuring. You seen any proper imaging data anywhere or is it all vibes?
  • sleep_coastal: I gave GHK‑Cu a solid six‑week run subcut at 1 mg twice a week. Anecdotally I felt no tendon change, just mild redness and itching that got annoying after week three, so I stopped.
  • kenji_runs: Cheers for that, honestly thats exactly the kind of report i was after. Six weeks at 1mg twice a week and literally nothing on the tendon front is pretty telling. The itching kicking in around week three sounds proper annoying too. Did you stick with subcut the whole time or did you ever try injecting closer to the Achilles itself?
