BPC-157 oral for gut healing while also running injectable for tendon, too much?

I have been dealing with a stubborn rotator cuff thing for about two months now. I started injectable BPC-157 recently and it seems to be helping, the range of motion feels a bit better after a few weeks (could be the rehab exercises too, hard to say).
But I also have some gut issues that flared up recently, basically gastritis type symptoms from stress and maybe too much ibuprofen earlier this year. I was thinking about adding oral BPC-157 arginate at the same time as the injectable for the shoulder.
My question is, has anyone here run both forms simultaneously? I am wondering if that is basically doubling systemic BPC and whether that raises any safety concerns. The oral version seems to have more gut-specific effects from direct contact, right? So maybe they are not fully overlapping.
I have seen people mention oral BPC at 500 mcg to 1 mg once or twice daily. If I am already injecting around 250 mcg daily for the shoulder, is adding 500 mcg oral on top of that reasonable or too much?
I plan to ask my doctor about the gut thing separately, but I wanted to hear from people who have actually combined these two forms. Any issues with that approach?

- tracker_jade: Anecdotally I ran both at the same time for about a month, oral arginate for gut stuff and injectable for a knee thing. The oral seemed to hit the gut lining pretty directly, like you said, and I did not feel like it was doubling up systemically in a way that caused issues for me. That said, I kept the oral at 500 mcg once daily, not twice, and the injectable was around 250 mcg. Felt fine but could just be my own tolerance. Have you looked into whether the arginate salt form actually survives s
- sofia_n: Anecdotally I’ve done the same oral arginate plus injectable for a shoulder issue and didn’t notice any extra systemic effects, just seemed to help the gut lining separately. I’m curious though, does the arginate really resist stomach acid enough to make oral dosing worthwhile compared to acetate? 😉
- frugal_gains: Good to hear you tolerated both without problems. On the arginate question, honestly the claims about better acid stability make sense in theory but i have not seen convincing human data comparing the two salts directly. More or less anecdotal reports either way. For me oral BPC seemed to help gut discomfort regardless of which salt form, but that is just my own experience and could be placebo.
- nina489: Thanks for the input on the salt forms. Actually I have not started the oral yet, I was asking before trying it. Good to hear the gut benefit seemed similar regardless of which salt. Did you run the oral at the same time as injectable, or just oral on its own? That is the part I am most unsure about, basically whether combining both forms at once is too much systemic BPC.
- nina489: Good to hear you ran both without extra systemic effects, that is basically what I was hoping to hear. Did you space them out or take them at the same time of day? On the arginate question, honestly I am not sure. The arginate salt is supposed to be more stable in acid but I have not seen solid data on how much actually survives. I picked arginate because that is what most people here seem to use orally, but you are right to question it. Have you tried acetate orally and noticed a difference?
- nina489: Good to hear someone actually did both without problems. Your doses were lower than what I was planning though, I was looking at 500 mcg twice daily oral. Maybe I should start with once daily like you did, no? The arginate salt question is a I have read it is more stable in acid but honestly I have not found anything convincing comparing arginate versus acetate survival directly. Do you remember which form you used for the oral?
- labrat_vik: I ran both at the same time for about a month, oral arginate for gut and injectable for a knee thing, and honestly I didn't notice any weird overlap or additive effect that felt like "too much." They kinda seem to do their own thing in different areas, at least that was my impression, could be totally wrong. I kept the oral around 250mcg twice a day and the injectable was 250mcg once daily, felt fine the whole time, no side effects that stood out. That said, I'd start the oral low and see how y
