Oral BPC-157 actually does anything for tendons or is it just a gut thing

Right so I have been reading up on the oral BPC-157 arginate stuff and the pitch seems to be that it is grand for gut healing but also supposedly has systemic effects. For what it is worth I am skeptical that an oral peptide survives long enough to do much outside the digestive tract but I want to hear from people who actually tried it.
Did anyone here use oral BPC-157 specifically for a tendon or joint issue and feel like it did something? Not gut stuff, actual musculoskeletal recovery. I keep seeing people say "oh it works systemically too" but nobody ever specifies what that actually felt like for them.
I used injectable BPC for my rotator cuff a while back and I feel like it helped, could have been the rehab work though. But oral just seems like a stretch for reaching a shoulder tendon. Like how would enough of it even get there.
Also if you did both oral and injectable at some point, did you notice a massive difference between the two? Trying to figure out if the oral version is worth bothering with at all or if it is basically just a fancy gut supplement.

- raj_j: Honestly I tried oral BPC-157 arginate for a nagging elbow tendon thing last year and I could not tell you it did much of anything for the tendon itself. Felt like my digestion got a little smoother maybe, but the elbow just kept on being cranky till I did the boring rehab stuff with bands and eccentric loading. The injectable route for my rotator a few years back seemed to move the needle faster, or at least I noticed the difference sooner. Could've been timing, could've been me just being mor
- tiredmegan: So basically what I expected, cheers for being honest about it. The elbow staying cranky until you did the bands and eccentric stuff is kind of telling. For what it is worth that matches my rotator cuff thing, the rehab was probably doing the heavy lifting and I just wanted the peptide to be the hero. Did you do oral and injectable at the same time ever or were they completely separate injury timelines? Just curious if anyone has stacked them and noticed anything different from injectable alone
- tracker_jade: That matches what I figured. Anecdotally the oral route seems to shine for gut stuff and not much else with actual tendon repair. I tried oral BPC for a shoulder tendon alongside injectable and honestly could not separate out whether the oral did anything systemic or if the injectable was doing all the heavy lifting. Did you notice any difference in how fast the rotator responded compared to if you had just done rehab alone? Or was it more like a subtle "things clicked a little sooner" kind of
- tiredmegan: Yeah that is exactly the problem right, you stack them and then you cannot tell what did what. Fair play for admitting it though, most lads just go "it all worked" and move on. For what it is worth the injectable felt like things clicked maybe a week or two sooner than I would have expected from rehab alone, but I was also doing loads of manual therapy so who knows. Was your shoulder the same deal where you were doing proper rehab alongside both?
