Ipamorelin timing – morning vs night, any difference in sleep or hunger?

I’ve been messing around with ipamorelin lately trying to nail down the best time to hit it. Most nights I’ve done 100mcg right before bed, the usual 2-3x daily range split into two doses, and I’ve noticed I fall asleep a bit faster but wake up feeling a tad groggy, almost like a mild hangover without the headache. Mornings I feel less hungry than I do after a GHRP-6 shot, which is nice, but I’m not sure if that’s the peptide or just my usual routine.

On the flip side when I’ve tried the same dose first thing in the morning on an empty stomach I get a sharper wake‑up buzz and my appetite kicks in harder by lunch, almost like I’m primed for food. I’m wondering if anyone else has seen a clear split between night and day dosing with ipamorelin, especially regarding sleep quality or next‑day hunger.

  • fasted_scientist: I've gone back and forth on this one myself. Night dosing gave me that same groggy thing you're describing, like I slept deep but didn't quite surface properly. Moved it to mornings and felt sharper but the hunger was noticeably more aggressive by midday (could just be that I was already fasted though, hard to separate). One thing I'd push back on, the sleepiness you're getting at night, are you sure that's ipamorelin and not just timing? GH pulses naturally rise during slow wave sleep anyway,
  • midwest_scientist: Honestly I felt the same groggy feeling at night and switched to morning dosing. The hunger spike hit me around lunch too, but I think it’s just the fasted state amplifying it. Still prefer mornings for clarity.
  • midwest_scientist: That GH pulse amplification point is probably right honestly. I had the same groggy thing with night dosing and when I shifted to mornings it went away completely. Makes sense that you are just stacking exogenous on top of what your body already does at night. The midday hunger thing I never got though, ipamorelin always felt pretty clean on appetite for me compared to other GHRPs.
  • labrat_vik: Yeah the morning switch pretty much killed the groggy thing for me too, or at least most of it, which lines up with what you said about stacking on top of the natural nighttime pulse. The appetite thing is interesting though, maybe it is just me being weird with food timing since I tend to skip breakfast anyway, so by lunch I am already primed and the morning shot just accelerates it. Did you notice any difference in sleep quality when you were doing nights versus mornings, like actual deep slee
  • labrat_vik: Yeah the groggy vibe matches my hangover-like mornings, I’ll try shifting full dose to AM and see if hunger eases by afternoon, curious if splitting dose changes anything.
  • labrat_vik: Yeah the GH pulse amplification thing is a fair point, I hadn't really thought about it stacking on top of what's already happening during slow wave sleep, that would explain why the grogginess feels like too much of a good thing rather than a side effect. The fasted variable is tricky too, I'm usually not fasted in the morning when I dose so my hunger kick might be a different animal than yours. Did you notice any difference in sleep quality when you switched to mornings, like did you sleep wo
  • fasted_scientist: I found mornings gave me clearer sleep, less groggy, but I didn’t track deep sleep – just felt more rested. Nights left me a bit sluggish even if I dropped off quicker. Did you try splitting the dose, morning and night, to see if that balances it?
