Dihexa at 10mg vs 20mg, anyone noticed a real difference in learning speed?

So I've been fixin' to try Dihexa for a while now. The whole synaptogenesis angle is fascinating to me, honestly. New synaptic connections, HGF/c-Met pathway, all that. Sounds great on paper.
But I'm hung up on dosing. The info I've seen says 10 to 20 mg daily or every other day. That's a pretty wide range. For folks who've actually run it, did you feel a meaningful difference between the low and high end?
I tried Adamax a while back and even at low doses I got headaches if I pushed it. So I'm a little cautious about jumping in at 20mg of something with a 12-hour half-life and not much long-term data behind it.
Honestly the "10 million times more potent than BDNF" claim kinda spooks me too. Like, that sounds impressive but what does it actually mean for a regular person trying to learn faster or remember more? Could just be marketing spin for all I know.
If you've run Dihexa solo, not in some giant stack, I'd love to hear what you noticed. Did it feel like clearer thinking or just stimulation? Any sleep issues at the higher dose?
Talk to your doctor before messing with this stuff btw, especially if you're on anything that affects mood or sleep.

- sleep_coastal: I ran Dihexa solo for about six weeks, started at 10mg every other day then bumped to 20mg. Anecdotally I didn't notice much at 10mg, maybe slightly better recall but could've been placebo. At 20mg I felt more verbal fluency, like words came a beat faster in conversation. Wasn't stimulation though, more like a quiet sharpness. Sleep got a little weird at 20mg if I dosed too late in the day, took it mornings only and that fixed it. That "10 million times more potent than BDNF" thing is a petri d
- raj_j: Yeah that verbal fluency thing is exactly what I'm curious about, that quiet sharpness you mentioned. Was it pretty subtle or like your wife noticed kind of thing? Good call on mornings only, I had the same issue with Adamax if I took it too late. And yeah I figured that 10 million number was petri dish stuff, thanks for confirming that. I'll probably start at 10 every other day and see how it goes before bumping up.
- curious_scientist: The verbal fluency thing at 20mg matches what I felt too, that quiet sharpness description is spot on. And thank you for calling out the petri dish number, that gets thrown around so loosely. Potency in a cell culture tells you nothing about oral bioavailability or CNS exposure. Imo people see "10 million times" and think they're getting some kind of superdrug. The sleep disruption at 20mg is worth flagging though. I had similar, not insomnia exactly but just weird shallow sleep. Mornings only
- tracker_jade: Thanks for the detail. I’m curious, did you get any headache or jitteriness at 20 mg, or was it mainly the sleep shift? I’m weighing whether to start low and see if every‑other‑day 20 mg avoids that issue. Appreciate the heads‑up on the BDNF claim too.
- raj_j: Hey, so I haven't actually run Dihexa yet, this was me asking before jumping in. The headache thing was from Adamax, not Dihexa. But your every-other-day 20mg idea is interesting, honestly. With that 12-hour half-life you'd still have decent overlap between doses. Are you thinking sublingual or oral? I've seen people go both ways and I'm not sure which makes more sense for absorption.
- raj_j: Yeah the shallow sleep thing is exactly what worries me about going higher. Did you stay at 20mg or drop back down to 10 after that? Honestly the verbal fluency payoff sounds tempting but not if I'm trading decent sleep for it. I already learned that lesson with Adamax headaches, pushing through side effects ain't worth it.
