GHK-Cu subQ injection site reactions, does IM make more sense for tendon work?

So i've been running GHK-Cu for about 3 weeks now targeting a stubborn rotator cuff thing that wont fully settle even with physio. Started subQ in the deltoid area near the injury site cos that seemed logical right. To be fair the first week was fine but then the injection site reactions got pretty annoying, redness, slight lump, mild sting that lingers for ages. Not painful per se but just... There.

Read some mixed things about whether subQ vs IM actually matters for GHK-Cu for getting it closer to the tissue you're trying to heal. Some people swear IM near the injury is better for tendons, others say subQ is fine cos it goes systemic anyway and the local delivery thing is overstated.

For me the shoulder feels maybe 20-30% better but honestly cant tell if thats the GHK-Cu, the physio, or just time. Could be placebo at this point leh.

Anyone here switched from subQ to IM for GHK-Cu and noticed a real difference in site reactions or healing speed? Also wondering if the copper itself is what's causing the local irritation cos i've never had site issues with BPC or TB.

  • curious_scientist: The copper is almost certainly what's causing the irritation. GHK-Cu is notorious for site reactions, way more than BPC or TB. I had the same thing, redness and a lump that stuck around for a day or two. SubQ just traps it in the fat and the copper sits there irritating the tissue. I switched to IM for that reason alone, not because I was convinced local delivery matters more. Honestly the site reactions got a lot better with IM, less stinging, no lump. Whether the healing improved is hard to s
  • retiredfreya: Yeah the lump sticking around for a day or two is exactly what i'm getting, so good to know its the copper itself and not something i'm doing wrong. To be fair i'm not even that bothered about whether local delivery matters, i just want the stinging to stop so i can actually stay consistent with it. When you switched to IM did you go straight into the delt or somewhere else? And did you use the same concentration or dilute it more?
  • greg_codes: Ngl the copper sting is real. I tried IM in the shoulder and the lump went away, less redness. Healing felt same though. Maybe less irritation lets you stick with it longer.
  • retiredfreya: Ok thats actually useful to hear, if the lump and redness calmed down with IM that alone might be worth switching for cos honestly the irritation is making me second-guess whether i want to keep sticking myself every day. Did you go straight into the deltoid or more like the supraspinatus area? And did you use the same concentration or dilute it more for IM?
