Adamax vs regular Semax, anyone switched and noticed a real difference?

So I tried Semax a while back, the standard nasal version. Felt a mild focus bump, nothing dramatic. Could've been placebo honestly. Lasted maybe an hour and a half before I didn't notice anything anymore. Which tracks with the short half-life.

Now I keep seeing Adamax mentioned as a more stable Semax analog. Supposedly longer acting and more potent. The BDNF angle interests me but I haven't found much real-world feedback on it. The profile page here says microgram to low milligram range, once or twice daily. That's a pretty wide range imo.

My main question is whether people who've used both actually felt a meaningful difference. Or is Adamax just Semax with better marketing? The overstimulation and headache side effects listed make me a little cautious since I already get tension headaches pretty easily.

Also curious about nasal irritation. Regular Semax was fine for me but I've heard some analogs can sting more. Imo that's a make-or-break thing for daily use.

Not looking for a dose recommendation, just want to hear actual experiences before I go down another rabbit hole. I've already spent enough on compounds that did basically nothing for me.

  • sleep_coastal: I tried both and Adamax did feel noticeably different for me, though I'm not gonna claim it's night and day. Regular Semax gave me that short focus window too, maybe 90 minutes, then gone. Adamax seemed to stretch that out to maybe 3-4 hours before I stopped noticing it. Could be placebo though, honestly. The BDNF stuff is interesting on paper but I can't say I felt anything I'd attribute to that specifically. On the headache thing, I'm prone to tension headaches too and Adamax didn't make mine
  • curious_scientist: The 3-4 hour window vs 90 minutes is exactly the kind of comparison I was hoping someone would share. That alone would be worth the switch for me honestly. Good to hear on the headaches too, that was my bigger worry. What dose range were you calling "lower end"? I've seen everything from micrograms to a couple milligrams thrown around and I genuinely don't know where to start.
  • curious_scientist: I’ve tried both too. For me Adamax gave a smoother lift that lasted around three hours, while regular Semax faded after about an hour and a half. No extra headaches with either, just the usual mild nasal tingle.
