PE 22-28 TREK-1 blocker, is the antidepressant angle real or just rodent hype?

Been reading up on PE 22-28 after it kept popping up in neuroplasticity discussions. The profile page here (/peptides/pe-22-28) says it blocks the TREK-1 potassium channel and supposedly produces fast antidepressant-like effects in animal models, faster than SSRIs. That is a pretty bold claim for something still preclinical.
What catches my eye is the mechanism. TREK-1 blockade enhancing serotonergic signaling and synaptogenesis makes sense on paper. But "antidepressant-like effects in mice" has burned a lot of us before. How many compounds looked amazing in rodents and went nowhere in humans? Too many, imo.
The short half-life bothers me too. If it is really short-lived, how would that even work practically for mood? You'd need frequent dosing or some delivery trick. And the safety profile is basically unknown in people. That is a big gap.
I have not tried it. Tempting because the cognitive and mood angle is exactly what I follow, but the lack of any human data makes me wanna wait. Imo the biohackers already running it are braver than I am.
Anyone here actually experimented with PE 22-28? Did you notice anything on mood or cognition, or was it just expensive water? Genuinely curious whether the animal data translates at all.
