Scalp irritation after switching RU‑58841 vehicle – how to calm it?

Hey folks, I’ve been using RU‑58841 for the past six weeks to hold off thinning spots. I started with 75 mg/mL in propylene glycol (PG) as the carrier, applying 0.5 mL daily to the affected area. By week three I noticed a mild itching and a slight redness that got worse after each application. My HRV didn’t change, but the irritation was enough that I started scratching at night, which isn’t great for hair.

I tried diluting the solution to 50 mg/mL and switched the vehicle to a mix of PG and a tiny amount of aloe vera gel (90/10). The itching dropped noticeably after a couple of days, though the redness lingered a bit. I also added a gentle, fragrance‑free moisturizer on the scalp after the RU‑58841 dried.

Has anyone else found a specific carrier or post‑application routine that eases the irritation? I’m curious if a lower PG percentage or adding a barrier cream is generally enough, or if some people just have a contact dermatitis that needs a break. Any thoughts or similar experiences would be helpful.
