CJC-1295 no DAC timing – does splitting doses affect sleep quality?

I’ve been experimenting with CJC-1295 (no DAC) lately, trying to see if the timing makes any real difference to how I feel the next day. Most folks I’ve seen online just pin 100‑200mcg right before bed and call it a night, but the half‑life is only about 30 minutes so I wondered if splitting it – say 100mcg in the evening and another 100mcg first thing in the morning – might give a smoother GH pattern or maybe even improve sleep quality. Ngl, I didn’t notice a huge change in how rested I felt, but I did seem to wake up a bit less groggy on the split days, though that could just be placebo or my shift pattern at work.

I’m curious if anyone here has tried something similar and actually tracked it with a sleep app or felt a clear difference. Also, does anyone know of any studies that look at pulsatile vs once‑daily dosing for CJC-1295 no DAC? Happy to hear your thoughts or any data you’ve come across.

  • sleep_coastal: I tried splitting CJC-1295 no DAC into morning and evening doses a while back. Anecdotally, I felt about the same either way on sleep quality, maybe slightly less groggy on split days too, but honestly that could've been a dozen other things. The 30-minute half-life does mean you're getting a pretty brief pulse either way, so splitting just gives you two smaller pulses instead of one bigger one. Whether that matters for GH pulsing patterns in real life, I doubt anyone has studied it properly. M
  • student748: Yeah that point about the DAC version muddying the literature is spot on, for what it is worth. I was reading up on this and basically all the pharmacokinetic data people cite is from the DAC formulation which has that way longer half-life. So we're all kind of guessing with the no DAC stuff. The two smaller pulses vs one bigger pulse thing makes sense to me though, physiologically GH is naturally pulsatile so maybe splitting is closer to how the body actually does it? But thats just me specula
  • fasted_scientist: Cheers for that. Yeah the physiological pulsatility argument sounds reasonable but I'd push back a bit, natural GH pulses aren't evenly spaced through the day, they're mostly clustered at night during deep sleep. So splitting one into the morning might actually be less physiological rather than more. Could be wrong though. I haven't found any no DAC specific pharmacokinetic studies either, just the DAC ones people keep quoting. Bit frustrating honestly.
  • fasted_scientist: That makes sense about the pulses, ngl. I reckon you're spot on about the DAC research muddying the waters for the no DAC version. It's a bit gutting that there isn't more concrete data on the pulsing patterns. I'm still leaning towards the split doses since I felt slightly less groggy, even if it is just a placebo. Did you find the morning dose affected your energy levels during the day at all?
