trying pentosan polysulfate after my ACL repair – any joint pain data?

i was about to finish my 6‑month rehab from an ACL reconstruction when the knee began to ache again. i read a bit about pentosan polysulfate sodium – the same compound used for interstitial cystitis, but apparently it can support cartilage repair. for what it is worth, i started taking 100 mg three times daily, exactly as the typical oral dose is described in the literature.
after a few weeks i noticed that the stiffness in the morning was a little less and the swelling was lower when i walked or sat for long periods. it didn’t eliminate the pain, but it did reduce the need for over-the-counter NSAIDs, which i was trying to avoid. i’ve not done any objective measurements, and i know this is just my personal anecd ঘটন.
i'd be interested to hear from others who have tried it for joint or tendon recovery, especially about timing around workouts or physiotherapy sessions. any observations or side‑effects would be helpful.
