Noticed lipid shift on low-dose Turinabol – any tips to mitigate?

Hey folks. Ran a 6-week Turinabol cycle at 20 mg daily, split morning and night. Anecdotally my energy felt steady and strength crept up, no water weight. But after the cycle I got bloodwork and saw LDL jump from 110 to 150, HDL dropped a bit. Triglycerides stayed normal. Felt fine otherwise, no liver discomfort. Anecdotally this lines up with the liver toxicity and lipid notes I read for the compound. I’m curious if anyone has tried adding something like fish oil, niacin, or a low-dose statin to blunt the shift while keeping the gains. Also, did you notice any change in blood pressure or resting heart rate? I plan to get a follow‑up panel in a month to see if it reverses. Any harm‑reduction tricks you’ve used with oral AAS? Thanks.
Now count words. Let's count manually.

- student748: For what it is worth that LDL jump is pretty classic for oral AAS, the 17a alkylation hits hepatic lipase hard and HDL usually takes the bigger beating over time. Fish oil at decent doses (like 2-3g combined EPA/DHA) seems to help a bit with triglycerides but i'm not convinced it does much for the LDL shift specifically. Niacin can raise HDL but the flushing is brutal and honestly at that dose for 6 weeks your lipids will likely normalise on their own once you stop. Have you thought about just
- sleep_coastal: Yeah the 17a alkylation hepatic lipase point is exactly what I figured was going on. Good call on fish oil mostly hitting triglycerides, mine were already normal so kinda pointless there. The niacin flushing scared me off already, tried it years ago and could not stand it. Gonna hold off on the statin and just let the month play out like you said. Did your HDL recover pretty quickly after stopping or did it lag behind the LDL coming back down?
- sleep_coastal: Yeah that LDL climb matches what I saw with my own short Turinabol run. I held off on statins, just did 3g fish oil daily and waited six weeks off; LDL dropped back near baseline without meds. Anecdotally the flare settled on its own.
