Oxandrolone lipid hit, how bad is the HDL drop in practice at low doses

Been reading the /peptides/oxandrolone page and the lipid disruption thing is what jumps out at me. HDD decrease specifically. For what it is worth i have never touched anabolics but the recomposition angle is tempting after a rough training block left me pretty depleted.
The profile says 10-20mg therapeutic range. Does anyone here actually run bloodwork before and after a short cycle at that kind of dose and seen what the HDL does? Like is it a 10% drop or more like halved. Just trying to get a sense of real-world magnitude vs the scary sounding list of side effects.
Also curious whether the liver stress markers show up at those lower doses or if that is more a higher-dose performance range thing. I get regular bloods done anyway through my GP so i could track it, just want to know what people are actually seeing before i even think about it.
Keen to hear from anyone who has actual lipid panels to compare. Not looking for a dose recommendation, just real experiences with the bloodwork side of things.

- sleep_coastal: Anecdotally, the HDL hit is real even at the low end. I ran a short cycle a while back and my HDL dropped from low 50s to around 30. Not halved but a solid 35-40% drop. Came back over several weeks after stopping. LDL crept up too but nothing dramatic. This was with bloods before and after through my regular panel. Liver enzymes stayed in range for me at that dose range, maybe a slight bump in ALT but nothing my GP flagged. The lipid thing seems to hit way before liver markers do at lower dose
- student748: Cheers for that, that 35-40% drop is exactly the kind of real number i was after. My HDL usually sits around 55 so seeing it go to low 30s would freak me out a bit honestly. For what it is worth the fact that liver enzymes stayed in range at that dose is reassuring, sounds like lipids are the canary in the coal mine. Did you do anything specific to try and protect HDL while on it, or just let it ride and recover after?
