Elastin peptides flying under the radar vs collagen, anyone actually tried oral hydrolyzed elastin

Just came across the elastin peptides page here (/peptides/elastin-peptides) and honestly didnt realise this was a whole separate thing from collagen. Everyone bangs on about collagen peptides for skin and joints but elastin is the other half of the equation right, the actual snap-back factor in skin and connective tissue.

For what it is worth the mechanism sounds legit on paper, elastin-derived peptides binding the S-Gal receptor on fibroblasts and triggering tropoelastin production. That is a different pathway than collagen peptides which mostly signal through Pro-Hyp dipeptides. So theoretically stacking both makes sense rather than just doing collagen alone.

But here is my question, the oral dose listed is 2-5g daily which is a fair bit of powder. And the half-life is only 4-6 hours. Has anyone here actually tried oral hydrolyzed elastin for any length of time and felt anything in skin or tendon resilience? Or is this one of those things that looks good in cell culture and falls flat in real life because the peptides degrade before reaching target tissue.

Keen to hear if anyone has stacked it with copper peptides topically since GHK-Cu also targets fibroblast activity. Seems like they could complement each other but could just be me connecting dots that arent there. Chur for any input.
