Retatrutide weight loss but heart rate oddity?

I started retatrutide 1mg weekly for stubborn fat loss after a plateau with semaglutide. First week, appetite suppression was insane, like I forgot to eat for days. But by day 3, my resting heart rate jumped 15bpm and stayed elevated.
Weird, right? Tracked everything: sleep, HRV, even blood pressure.

- brooke_h: Anecdotally I’ve seen a similar spike when I switched to semaglutide – my resting HR went up about 8‑10 bpm and settledotte after a week. It’s probably sympathetic activation from the appetite cut‑down and maybe mild dehydration. Have you checked your fluid intake and whether any other meds could be adding to it? Keep an eye on the HR trend and BP; if it stays high or you feel dizzy, give the doc a call. It’s spot on that weight‑loss pegs can have off‑target heart effects, but it usually normal
- ivy_mobility: 2 L) so I bumped it to 2 L and added a pinch of salt. No other meds changed. My HR stayed about 12‑14 bpm up for the whole week, then dropped back to baseline on day 9. I’ll keep the BP watch and will call if anything else odd shows up.
