Cortagen solo, anyone run just the cortex peptide without stacking?

Been reading up on Cortagen (/peptides/cortagen) and finding surprisingly little real-world discussion compared to the Semax/Selank crowd. It is a Khavinson bioregulator, so the whole gene expression regulation angle is interesting to me. Supposed to modulate receptor density and synaptic plasticity in the cerebral cortex specifically.
The typical protocol seems to be 10mg daily for 10-15 days. Short course, then stop. That pattern is pretty standard for the Khavinson peptides from what I can tell.
What I am curious about is whether anyone here has run Cortagen by itself, not as part of some massive stack. I tried Cerebrolysin solo a while back and actually liked it without all the extras. Wondering if Cortagen has a similar standalone usefulness or if it really needs company.
The side effect profile looks mild. Mild headache initially, rare drowsiness, vivid dreams. The vivid dreams part catches my attention because I got that with Cerebrolysin too and honestly did not mind it.
Did anyone notice actual cognitive changes on it? Focus, memory, anything measurable? Or did it feel subtle to the point of maybe being placebo? Imo the bioregulator class tends to be less dramatic than the Semax family but I could be wrong here.
Also curious about timing. Morning vs evening, did it matter for the drowsiness thing?
