BPC-157 plus Boswellia (AKBA) for tendon rehab, anyone stacked these together?

Got a stubborn achilles thing that's been dragging on for ages, doing the usual BPC-157 pinning routine and physio but progress feels slow honestly. Been reading about boswellia AKBA and how it hits the 5-LOX pathway instead of COX like normal NSAIDs do, which is interesting because i've been avoiding ibuprofen anyway since it apparently messes with tendon healing.
Reckon there could be something to running BPC-157 alongside a proper AKBA-standardised boswellia extract. The peptide side is promoting angiogenesis and tissue repair, the boswellia side is damping down leukotriene-driven inflammation. Different mechanisms right, so maybe they don't step on each other's toes.
But i can't find much actual research on combining them. Has anyone here tried this combo for tendon or joint stuff and felt a noticeable difference vs just BPC alone? Or am i just overcomplicating things here
Also slightly worried about blunting the inflammatory response too much. Some inflammation is part of the healing process right, so could anti-inflammatories slow things down even if they're not NSAIDs. Keen to hear if anyone's looked into this properly or has real experience with it.

- fasted_scientist: Ngl I’ve not actually stacked boswellia AKBA with BPC‑157 myself, mostly because I keep seeing the same gap you mentioned – no solid human data on the combo. My own experience with BPC alone for a nagging patellar tweak felt like a slow but steady improvement over six weeks, though I can’t say how much was just time and physio. I get the theory – different pathways, so they might not clash – but I’m also wary of damping inflammation too early. Some studies suggest that a certain level of leukot
- macros_biohacker: That leukotriene timing thing is a really ngl, I kinda learned that the hard way with a quad strain last year. I was too aggressive hopping on anti-inflammatory stuff right away and it felt like it just stalled out for weeks. Once I backed off and let the early inflammation do its thing for like the first week, then added boswellia in, things actually started moving. Could totally be coincidence but the timing felt real to me. Have you thought about just running the BPC solo for another few wee
- kenji_runs: Yeah that quad strain timing thing is interesting but honestly my achilles has been dragging on for months already so i'm well past the acute inflammation window, reckon that ship has sailed. Might just try layering the AKBA in now since it's already chronic. Did you dose the boswellia pretty consistently once you started or just when it felt flared up?
- kenji_runs: That fibroblast activation point is honestly something i hadn't thought about properly, cheers for bringing it up. Do you remember which studies you saw that on? Would be keen to have a look because that might change my thinking on timing, like maybe holding off on the boswellia until a few weeks into the BPC run rather than starting both at once. My achilles has already been going ages so maybe the early inflammation window is already gone anyway, hard to tell.
