Pentosan Polysulfate for knee osteoarthritis – any real‑world experiences with dosing and PT timing?

I’ve been dealing with nagging knee pain from years of standing on hard floors and occasional jogging. My doc mentioned Pentosan Polysulfate as something that might help with cartilage support beyond just symptom relief. I’m considering the oral 100 mg three times a day route but I’m wondering how folks have timed it around their physical therapy sessions.
Do you take it before, after, or split doses on PT days? Have you noticed any difference in joint comfort or swelling when you stack it with standard rehab exercises? Anecdotally I’ve heard it can take a few weeks to feel anything, but I’d like to hear from anyone who’s actually tracked pain scores or mobility while using it.
Also any side effects you’ve run into, like mild GI upset or headaches? Just looking for practical input before I start. Thanks.
