Trying acarbose with meals to blunt glucose spikes – any weight change noticed?

I’ve been experimenting with acarbose to see if smoothing out my post‑meal glucose helps with gradual fat loss. I take 50 mg right before my main carb‑containing meals (usually lunch and dinner) and keep the rest of my routine unchanged – same calorie target, same training schedule. Over six weeks I’ve logged my weight each morning, fasting glucose twice a week, and nightly HRV via my wearable.
4 kg per week on average, which is a bit slower than when I was tighter on calories but feels steadier. 8 mmol/L most mornings, down from the low 5s I saw before. HRV hasn’t shown a clear trend; it bounces a bit day‑to‑day but stays within my usual range.
I’ve noticed a little more bloating after high‑starch meals, nothing uncomfortable. I’m curious if others have seen a similar modest weight trend or if the effect is mostly just glucose flattening. Any thoughts on dosing tweaks or combo ideas?
