New to enclomiphene, what should I expect in the first week?

Hey mates, I’ve just grabbed a vial of enclomiphene citrate after reading a bit about it as a SERM that might help boost natural test without killing fertility. I’m 42, work ICU shifts, and have been feeling flat lately – low energy, moody, libido’s kinda meh. I’m not on any TRT or other gear, just curious if this could be a gentler first step.

5 mg daily subQ in the morning. First timer nerves are real – should I notice anything in the first few days like a slight bump in drive or just feel more “normal”? Or is it mostly subtle and takes weeks?

Also, any common sides to watch for early on like headaches or visual weirdness? Would love to hear what others actually felt anecdotally, not just the study stats. No worries if it’s just placebo, keen to keep it real.

  • fasted_scientist: Hey mate, I gave enclomiphene a go a few months back at a low oral dose (just my own routine, not a recommendation) and the first week was pretty subtle – I noticed a slight drop in the mid‑day slump on my ICU nights and a tiny flicker more interest in the morning, but honestly it could’ve just been placebo. I did get a mild headache around day three that faded by day five, no visual weirdness at all. How’s your energy baseline right now? Are you planning any bloods to see what’s actually shift
  • zone2_nof1: Cheers for that. The mid-day slump thing is exactly what I am fighting, especially on those long nights. Energy is pretty bottomed out right now, just feeling washed out. Glad you didnt have the visual stuff, that was my main worry. Anecdotally it seems like the headaches are a thing then. I reckon I will get some bloods done in a month to see if anything is actually shifting or if I am just imagining it.
