There's a new preclinical study making the rounds that senolytics can clear up to 70% of those zombie senescent cells that accumulate with age. The research looked at aged blood vessel cells and how they drive metabolic diseases. I've been tracking the senolytic space for a while now, rapamycin, NR, the whole longevity stack, and this feels like one of those foundational pieces that could shift how people think about aging beyond just "take this supplement for energy." What I'm curious about is whether the effect holds up in humans; a lot of the early data is in mice or cell cultures, and I've seen plenty of compounds promise the world in the lab then fizzle out once people actually take them.
