PE 22-28 spadin-derived peptide – early TREK-1 data worth watching?

I came across the entry for PE 22-28 on the peptides page and it caught my eye because it is described as a spadin‑derived peptide that blocks the TREK‑1 potassium channel. The page says it has shown rapid antidepressant effects and increased neurogenesis in animal models, but that human safety data are unknown and efficacy in humans is unproven. For me this looks like an interesting mechanistic lead, yet I always want to see some clinical data before getting excited about any compound for mood or cognition.
Have any of you seen a human trial or pilot study on PE 22‑28, or tried it in a research setting? I would love to hear what you think about the risk‑benefit balance at this early stage. Tbh I am leaning towards waiting for more transparency on dosing and side effects before considering any personal experimentation.
