Anyone actually seeing a difference with oral pentosan for joints?

I have been reading heaps about pentosan polysulfate for cartilage repair and joint stuff lately. Most of the chatter seems to be about the injectable versions or veterinary use, but I am curious if anyone here has tried the oral route for general joint maintenance.

Anecdotally, I have heard people say the 100mg three times a day approach is decent for long term support, but I am skeptical about the bioavailability of a large polysaccharide like that through the gut. I reckon it might just be a waste of cash if it does not actually reach the joint space in any meaningful way.

I am not looking for a miracle, just wondering if anyone has actually felt a difference in their mobility or stiffness after a few months on it. I have some old niggling issues in my knees from training that never quite settle.

If you have tried it, did you go the oral way or did you find it was a total dud? Also, did you notice any GI upset? I have heard that can be a bit of a pain with the oral stuff.
