Confused about BAM15 vs DNP for metabolic stuff

I have been reading up on BAM15 lately because it keeps popping up in some of the weight management threads. It seems like a way more interesting way to mess with metabolic rate than just using standard appetite suppressants, but I am a bit lost on the actual mechanics.

From what I can gather, it is a mitochondrial uncoupler. It is meant to dissipate the proton gradient to create heat instead of ATP. I know DNP is the famous one for this, but that stuff sounds absolutely terrifying and far too risky for anyone to even think about. Ngl, the idea of an uncoupler sounds a bit dodgy if you do not know exactly what you are doing.

Does anyone actually know if there is any decent data on how this stuff feels for humans? I am seeing lots of talk about it being safer than DNP in animal models, but that is a big leap. I am curious if the overheating risk is actually a massive thing or just something people warn about to be safe. If anyone has come across any actual human trials or even just more detailed research papers on the safety margin, I would be keen to see them.
