Thoughts on PE 22-28 and TREK-1 blockade?

I was reading about /peptides/pe-22-28 and the way it blocks the TREK-1 potassium channel. The idea that it can increase synaptogenesis and neurogenesis faster than SSRIs sounds very promising, tbh. As someone who is quite skeptical of long term medication, a fast acting option for mood and neuroplasticity is interesting.
Actually, it seems a bit TOO good to be true since it is still preclinical. I worry that we are jumping the gun when there is no established human safety data yet. I have tried some other nootropics and often the real world results are much smaller than the animal models suggest. It could just be hype.
Since I am still new to this, I am wondering if anyone here has actually seen any human reports or anecdotal data on this one? I cannot find much beyond the basic research descriptions. Do you think the rapid effect on serotonin signaling is actually sustainable, or would the brain just compensate after a while? I would love to see some actual citations if anyone has found some. Thank you for any help.
